#In Madhya Pradhesh at Mhow’s Military engineering institute, there is a Quantum Computing lab paired along with an AI lab. It is set up in Dec 2021 and supported by NSCS (National Security Council Secretariat).

# To utilize the efficiency of QKD, a Quantum communication lab was established in Oct 2021 at C-DOT (Center for Development of Telematics), which is capable of handling more than 100km of Optical fiber. 

# A collaboration between the DIAT (Defense Institute of Advanced Technology) and C-DAC (Centre of Development of Advanced Computing) exists to create Quantum Computing.

# The I-HUB Quantum technology foundation is instrumental in Quantum technology enhancement.

  5. Caixa Bank – They use Quantum Computing for risk analysis.
  6. Paypal – In partnership with IBM, they are utilizing Quantum Computing for fraud detection.
  7. DWave & Toyota- Their research has proved Quantum Computing’s enhanced ability in traffic management and optimization.
  8. Biotechnology Industry – A Massachusett based biotech company, along with 1Qbit, is using Quantum Computing as an aid in molecular analysis to develop new drugs.

A gateway to the world of Quantum Computing opened when Google performed a 200 secs calculation which originally takes thousands of years in a classic computer. It may not be perfectly functional, but it was indeed a perfect start for the Quantum Supremacy journey for Google. 

Ever Since Richard Feynman, the American physicist, claimed the possibility of a Quantum Computer, there have been generous research around its theory. But it was the first time to accomplish practically a possibility for the existence of Quantum Computing in 2019.

A demonstration of the containing of qubits (unlike bits, qubits can be 0 and 1 at the same time) long enough to perform a calculation is a promising milestone for both Google and Quantum Computing. 

Google put its breakthrough to the good use of refining the Quantum Computer through continuous error correction. The current era of Quantum Computer is called the NISQ (Noisy Intermediate – Scale Quantum). It simply means it is in a state where they are not error-free enough to commercialise Quantum Computing, and they have not achieved enough qubits.   1. World of Chemistry

Over a century, the world of chemistry has represented the reactions only in mathematical formulas. But quantum mechanics is way more perfect for explaining the exact happening inside a chemical reaction.

The computational techniques have the advantage of explaining the intricacies of a chemical process and the reaction between the molecules. Google had made the first step towards simulating a reaction using 12 qubits on the Quantum Computer. It might be a primitive step but a big breakthrough towards what Quantum Computing can do to the world of chemistry. 

2. World of Physics

Saving energy is what scientists have been breaking their heads through ever since the crisis for fuels started. Imagine what they can accomplish by knowing what is happening at the photon level and coming up with a solution to resolve energy loss.

So here again, Google pioneered the process by simulating the Fermi-Hubbard model using a Quantum Computer with 16 qubits. The dynamics of the process will help to create a material that can complement the energy loss. 

Google utilises the maximum from the NISQ Quantum Computers and is coming up with more and more possibilities to find solutions to complex problems unresolved by the classic supercomputers. They have also made available their resources to universities and research industries through collaboration and making available their cloud access to Quantum Computers. 

Cirq is one such initiative and a python library that can help the creators to come up with circuits and programs for the Quantum Computer. It is also open source and a big step towards reaching error-free computers. 

All the initiatives of Google are only ascertaining the fact that the Quantum Computing revolution is happening now, and the world is already pushing itself towards it!
